IT FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT

BULANON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

"Computer Training Needs Assessment" which aims to share our knowledge to graduating class in different rural secondary school in Northern Negros. An exciting activity to be done by the BSIT IV year students.

Inst. Dyreen Suficiencia Cabahug was the one who assist as from school scouting, facilitating us what to do for the best.

Our group first decide to have our training at Bug=Ang National High School, in the since that they have their available resources needed for the training and that they also need training. Problem arises when we go there and for our great dismay that their operating system used is LINUX, and to the fact that we have no such little background of the said operating syste.

With this, we come to decide and have our training at Bulanon National High School. Again we go to the respective school. At first the conversation is quit good, Mr Casper, the Computer in-Charge is very approachable, and to the point when we ask what Operating System they used; another dismay when MR Casper said FEDURHA, a version of LINUX!!ohh my gosh....here we go again...!.With great surprise he added that the one who he usec to teach for the student is the said OS and that they also have Windows and that they use a dual system OS. He added, that when we are on the actual training we can used the Windows system. Mr. Casper added, if we can include the third year so that next year they have their knowledge,because as he said next year they will no longer used the FEDURHA.

As we go on to the survey, we can feel the excitement and eagerness to learn. There asking when will be the training. Were looking forward to for the possitive outcome of this activity inspite of the hectic schedule and activities we have to accomplish..

THIS LOCATION FOR TRAINING IS BEING CANCELLED DUE TO SOME HINDRANCES.

We think that were no longer encounter such problem regarding where we will can conduct such training. It was January 21 when we go again to Bulanon National High School to ask for proper schedule which is convenience to their student and to us as a trainor, but then on as we go through to our conversation with their principal in the person of Mr. Alfredo Rebuquio, he tell to us that they cannot accommodate us because of their hectic schedule, school monitoring, evaluation and so on, he added that we should go to their divisi0n office to inform about the said activities and so that the division will set a schedule to us.
Another great dismay, we think its all okay but here we go again looking for another school respondent to conduct with. After such excitement we had,dismay replaces!!,but then on we serve this as another trial in out part as a student, we just put into our mind that this is life, that this is a part for our success!
Again we decide to have our training at Tamlang National High School, at Escalante City, members of our group go to the respective school last January 23 to ask some permission and have some information about the school. The principal of the said school in the person of Mr. Jesus Tabelino is such an approachable and a very good guy, he himself is very much willing to accept us to conduct the said training to their school in the truth that according to him its very useful especially to the graduating student in the said school
To you sir, thank you so much for such warm WELCOME.....we do hope we can give to your school what you expect from us.
